  5. After submitting the Online Application, the candidates are required to take out a printout of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application.
  6. Modification in OTR Profile: In case the candidate wants to effect any change in his/her OTR profile, it shall be allowed only once in the lifetime after the registration at OTR platform. The change in OTR profile data shall be available till the expiry of 7 days from the next day after the closure of the application window of his/her first final application for any examination of the Commission. In case, the candidates after registration of OTR applies for the first time in the Recruitment Test (RT), the last date of modification of OTR would be 03.04.2024.
  7. Modification in the application form (other than OTR Profile): The Commission has also decided to extend the facility of making correction(s) in any field(s) of the application form for the Recruitment Test (RT) from the next day of the closure of the application window of the Recruitment Test (RT). This window will remain open for 7 days from the date of opening of the same, i.e. from 28.03.2024 to 03.04.2024. In case a candidate wants to carry out any change in his/her OTR profile during this period, then he/she should log in to the OTR platform and do the needful accordingly. In other words, no change in the OTR profile can be made by visiting the window for Modification in the application form.
  8. The candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their application after the submission of the same.
  9. The candidates are advised to submit the Online Application well in advance without waiting for the closing date.

General Instructions:

  1. CITIZENSHIP: A Candidate must be either:
    • (a) a citizen of India, or
    • (b) a subject of Nepal, or
    • (c) a subject of Bhutan, or
    • (d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
    • (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
    Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d), and (e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

INDIAN FOREST SERVICE EXAMINATION (IFS), 2016

UPSC Indian Forest Service Examination 2016 last date 27th May-2016
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold preliminary screening test for the Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2016 for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service Officers commencing from07/08/2016.

The pattern of the Indian Forest Service Examination 2015 has been changed and candidates for IFS Examination 2016 needs to appear in the Indian Civil Service Examination (Preliminary) 2016 for the same. Therefore candidates needs to apply for Indian Civil Service Examination 2016 to appear in Indian Forest Service Examination 2016.
Eligibility:
  • Posts : 110 approx.
  • Age : Not less than 21 years and not more than 32 years as on 1st August 2016. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree of any recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.
  • Number of attempts: The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as (i) General Category - 6 attempts, (ii) OBC - 9 attempts (iii) SC/ST - No limit
Fee: Candidates applying (excepting Female/SC/ST/PH candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination are required to pay a fee of Rs.100/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/State Bank of Hyderabad/State Bank of Mysore/State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit card.

UPSC has also notified Indian Civil Service Examination 2016, last date 27th May 2016.

Paper Pattern
IFS 2016 Paper Pattern:-
A. PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION:-
 
The Examination shall comprise of two compulsory Papers of 200 marks each. 
 
Note:
 
(i)   Both the question papers will be of the objective type (multiple choice questions). 
(ii)  The General Studies Paper-II of  the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination will be a qualifying paper  with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%. 
(iii) The question papers will be set both in Hindi and English. 
(iv)  Candidates must write the papers in their own hand. In no circumstances will they be allowed the help of a  scribe  to write  the answers  for  them. However,  Low Vision candidates  (minimum 40% impairment) will  be allowed  to write  the examination with  the  help  of  a  scribe.  Low  Vision  candidates will also  be allowed an extra time of forty minutes for each paper @ twenty minutes per hour. Each paper will be of two hours duration. 
 
B. MAIN EXAMINATION:-
 
(A) The written examination consisting of the following papers:­
 
Paper I  - General English  - 300 Marks 
Paper II   - General Knowledge - 300 Marks 
Paper III / Paper IV / Paper V / Paper VI - Any two subjects to be selected from the list of for each the optional subjects set given below Each subject will have two papers - 200 marks
 
(B) Interview for Personality Test (See Part (C) of Section II of this Appendix) of such candidates as may be called by the Commission - Maximum Marks: 300 Marks

(ii.) Agricultural Engineering 
(iii) Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science 
(iv) Botany 
(v) Chemistry 
(vi) Chemical Engineering 
(vii) Civil Engineering

(x)  Mathematics 
(xi) Mechanical Engineering 
(xii) Physics 
(xiii) Statistics 
 
(xiv) Zoology 
 
Provided that the candidates will not be allowed to offer the following combination of subjects: 
 
(a)  Agriculture and Agricultural Engg. 
(b)  Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science. 
(c)  Agriculture and ·Forestry. 
(d)  Chemistry and Chemical Engg. 
(e)  Mathematics and Statistics. 
(f)  Of the Engineering subjects viz. Agricultural Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering- not more than one subject; 
 
General:-
 
1. All the question papers for the examination will be of conventional (essay) type. 
2. ALL QUESTION PAPERS MUST BE ANSWERED IN ENGLISH. QUESTION PAPERS WILL BE SET IN ENGLISH ONLY.
3.  The duration of each of the papers referred to above will be three hours. 
 
Candidates should note that there will be penalty (Negative Marking) for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.
