The IITM is looking for eligible candidates of Indian origin for the Advanced Training in Earth System Sciences and Climate. The candidates will be provided induction training extending to 18 months and on successful completion will be placed in the constituent institutes of the Earth System Sciences Organization (ESSO) of the Ministry of Earth Sciences as Scientists :

• Climate Sciences - Scientist  : 20 posts, will be posted as Scientist-B or Scientist-C, Age : 28 years as on 31/03/2012, Stipend : Rs. 25000/- per month, Pay Band : Rs. 15600-39100, Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-, Age relaxation as per rules.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology on behalf of the National Coordination Board - GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Candidates have to Apply only ONLINE. The application fee is Rs 1000/- for GENERAL/OBC/ category and Rs 500/- for SC/ST/PD category candidates.
