150 Fellowships Through All India Exam

ICMR JRF Examination is the first step in the process of admission to the Ph.D/ Research Programme. Test for ICMR JRF fellowship conducted at the eight centres viz. Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai,Hyderabad, Varanasi and Guwahati once a year on 2nd/3rd Sunday in July each year. The award of JRF is made on merit basis by holding an entrance examination after issuing a countrywide admission notice.

The admission notice is published in leading English Newspapers of India usually during March/April. ICMR in collaboration with PGIMER, Chandigarh will hold a National level examination on Sunday, July 17th 2011 for determining the eligibility of Indian National candidates for the award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) through Indian Council of Medical Research.

 ELIGIBILITY:
i) The fellowships are open to Indian National of 30 years for General Category and 35 years of age in Reserve Category (SC/ST/OBC)     as on the date of publication of Advertisement .
ii) First or second class Master’s Degree not less than 55% marks for General Category and 50% for Reserve Category (SC/ST/OBC) in Criminology, Sociology, Social work, Psychology,
Social Anthropology, Public Administration, Political Science, Law and Police Administration.
iii) The Candidate Should be registered for Ph.D Degree in any of the subjects mentioned above.
